The Indian Air force has officially announced the Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 Recruitment 2025 under the Agnipath Scheme. This is a golden opportunity for unmarried Indian youth (both male and female) to join the Indian Air Force for a period of 4 years, with attractive benefits, skills training, salary, and a chance to serve the country in uniform.

1. 🗓️ Important Dates

Candidates applying for Agniveer Vayu must have a basic understanding of the English language, especially reading, writing, and comprehension. Good communication skills help during training and interactions in service.
They must also be physically fit and active, capable of running, performing push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Apart from fitness, mental alertness, reasoning skills, and basic general knowledge are equally important, especially for passing the online test.
Adaptability and discipline are two major requirements. Candidates should be able to follow commands, work in a team, and carry out duties under pressure. Technical stream candidates must also be familiar with basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics.

3. 🎓 Educational Qualifications
📘 For Science Stream Candidates:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks overall, and at least 50% marks in English.
Alternatively, those with a 3-year Engineering Diploma (in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or IT) are also eligible if they scored at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English (either in diploma or Class 12).
Candidates with a 2-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects (Physics and Maths) are also eligible with the same minimum marks in aggregate and English.
- 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics & English (50% each)
- OR 3-year Engineering Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/CS/IT/Instrumentation) – 50% & English at same level
- OR 2-year Vocational (Physics/Math) – same % criteria.
📘 For Non-Science Stream Candidates:
Applicants should have passed 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
Those who have completed a 2-year vocational course with English as a subject are also eligible, provided they meet the same minimum marks requirement.

- DOB Window: 2 July 2005 – 2 January 2009 (inclusive)
- Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian male/female candidates.
5. 📏 Physical Standards & Fitness Test : Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025
Height:
- Men & Women: Min 152 cm.
- NE/Hilly: Min 147 cm; Lakshadweep: 150 cm.
Chest (Men only): 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion).
Weight: Proportionate to age & height.
PFT Criteria:
- Men: 1.6 km in 7 min, 10 push-ups (1 min), 10 sit-ups (1 min), 20 squats (1 min).
- Women: 1.6 km in 8 min, 10 sit-ups (1 min 30 sec), 15 squats (1 min).

- Non-Science: English, Reasoning, General Awareness (45 min)
- Combined Duration: 85 min; Negative marking: –0.25/q

7. 💵 Salary & Perks: Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025
Monthly Stipend:
- Year 1: ₹30,000.
- Year 2: ₹33,000.
- Year 3: ₹36,500.
- Year 4: ₹40,000 (approx.).
In-hand after fund contribution: approx 70% + 30% corpus fund.
Seva Nidhi Package: ~₹10.04 lakh after 4 years.
Other Benefits:
- ₹48 lakh insurance cover.
- Risk/hardship allowances, medical, uniform & skill certification.
- 10% reservation in CAPF/Assam Rifles/Police (where applicable).
