Honor 9X Launch Event
Honor is launching the Honor 9X in India on January 14. The smartphone is already available on sale in China and some other international markets. Honor is also confirmed to launch the Honor Magic Watch 2 and Honor Band 5i.

Huawei’s sub brand, Honor, has to its name a number of interesting products across various budget segments, and now, the company is all set to launch the Honor 9X as its first phone in India this year. The company had previously released teasers, and then sent out an invite for an event its hosting in Delhi for the launch of the Honor 9X, the Magic Watch 2 and Honor Band 5i.
Of the three, it’s the Honor 9X that is of the most interest and has already been announced to come to India exclusively through Flipkart with the help of numerous teasers. One of these teasers even featured a timeline of allHonor X series phones launched in the past — starting with the Honor 4X that was launched in October 2104 to the Honor 8X launched in 2018 and now the Honor 9X which will be launched in India today.
Honor 9X: Specifications and features
As for the device itself, Honor 9X is expected to come to India sporting a 6.59-inch OLED display and could be powered by a new Kirin 710F SoC chipset. It could bring with it a triple camera set-up including a 48-megapixel primary lens paired to a 2-megapixel secondary and 8-megapixel lens to complete the triple camera setup. The phone will also feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera for clicking selfies.
The phone could also get a traditional fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometric security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.

Honor Magic Watch 2 specifications and features
The Magic Watch 2 features a circular AMOLED display and comes in two sizes. The 42mm variant sports a 1.2-inch round display, whereas the 46mm variant has a bigger 1.39-inch screen. Performance engine on the Magic Watch 2 features a HiSilicon Kirin A1 processor with 4GB inbuilt memory.
The smartwatch comes with several indoor and outdoor sports modes, and also supports sleep disorder diagnostics. Magic Watch 2 has a 5ATM water resistance and a heart rate monitor.
Honor Band 5i
Honor Band 5i is a fitness smartband that has a 0.96-inch touch display. The smart band packs a 91mAh
battery that is claimed to last for up to nine days on a single charge. It comes with nine activity modes and has a 5ATM water resistance. Honor Band 5ialso has a heart rate sensor.
